Intro to Orthodoxy Class
This class, held most Saturdays, takes the attendees through an hour long teaching about a specific aspect of the Orthodox faith. No prior knowledge of Orthodoxy is necessary, and anyone can follow along! Fill out our RSVP form here to let us know when you can join. We’d love to meet you!
ACOF Meeting
Our ACOF (American Coptic Orthodox Fellowship) meetings, held most Sunday evenings, are an excellent opportunity to delve into the Orthodox faith by enjoying a spiritual word from a guest speaker or Fr. Suriel. The talk is always followed by fellowship time with our community.
The One Meeting
This meeting is usually held every second Sunday of each month. His Grace Bishop Basil gives an insightful sermon and then joins us for a meal and games in the social hall. This meeting attracts a large crowd, bringing in people from different local churches, so you don’t want to miss it!
Agape Meal
Every Sunday after our morning Divine Liturgy, we gather together in our social hall for a meal and fellowship. This community time is the perfect opportunity to meet some of our congregants in a comfortable setting.
Bible StudIES
Most Sundays, Fr. Suriel leads a Bible Study lecture after our Agape Meal. You’ll get to enjoy some edifying words while drinking your tea or coffee. Fr. Suriel also leads a Bible Study on Saturday evenings after Vespers. Finally, there is a bi-weekly youth Bible study led by various speakers that occurs at a local coffee shop.
BRAVE MONTHLY MEN’S MEETING
Every first Tuesday of the month, our congregation’s men gather to discuss a spiritual topic pertaining to the man’s role in the family, society, and the church. This is followed by a meal and social time. Sometimes, the group does a special event, like community service.
Ladies’ Fellowship Meeting
Every second Saturday of the month, our congregation’s women gather to discuss a spiritual topic pertaining to the woman’s role in the family, society, and the church. This is followed by a meal and social time. Sometimes, the group does a special event, like community service.
Vespers
Every Saturday evening, the church hosts a brief prayer and worship service. This is an excellent introduction to Orthodox prayer, hymnology, and teaching.
Sunday School
Every Saturday (yes, Saturday, not Sunday), Sunday School is held for children from 4 years old to 12th-grade age. Our church servants provide edifying teachings for each age group. Come bring your children to enjoy Biblical lessons and make new friends!
